Intercom pricing in 2026: plans, Fin costs and what a small team pays

Intercom charges per seat, plus $0.99 for each conversation Fin resolves. Here are the plans, the add-ons, and what teams of one, three and five pay.

Intercom costs $39, $99 or $139 per seat a month, or $29, $85 and $132 billed yearly, plus $0.99 for every conversation Fin resolves. A solo developer with 100 Fin outcomes a month pays about $138. A three-person team with 300 pays about $414.

Prices were checked on October 17, 2026 on Intercom’s pricing page, Early Stage page and “Fin and Intercom plans explained” article. Check the date before you rely on a number.

What are Intercom’s plans?

Every plan is billed per full seat, with a one-seat minimum and no platform fee.

PlanPer seat, monthlyPer seat, yearlyWhat it adds
Essential$39$29Messenger, shared inbox, tickets, public help center, pre-built reports
Advanced$99$85Workflow builder, team inboxes, round robin, private and multilingual help center, 20 Lite seats
Expert$139$132SSO, HIPAA, SLAs, multibrand Messenger and help center, 50 Lite seats

Only full seats can send messages. Monthly and yearly self-serve plans need no contract. Enterprise terms, premier support and onboarding do.

How does Fin pricing work?

Fin, Intercom’s AI agent, costs $0.99 per outcome on every plan. Intercom counts an outcome when:

  • the customer confirms the issue is resolved,
  • the customer doesn’t ask for more help after Fin responds, or
  • Fin completes a procedure, including a handoff to a person.

Intercom charges once per conversation, however many questions Fin answers. If a customer reads Fin’s answer and closes the app, that counts as an outcome, whether or not it helped. A procedure that ends by handing the conversation to your team also counts.

Teams on another help desk can buy Fin on its own at the same $0.99, with a minimum commitment.

What do the add-ons cost?

Add-onPriceWhat you get
Copilot$35 per agent a month, $29 yearlyUnlimited use of the inbox AI assistant. Every agent gets 10 Copilot and 10 AI auto-translation conversations a month free.
ProFrom $100 a monthAnalysis of 500 conversations and 6,000 credits a month, including Operator. Extra credits cost $0.01 each.
Proactive Support Plus$99 a month500 messages across product tours, surveys, in-app messages, mobile push and carousels. Extra messages are billed per unit at an unlisted rate.

Live chat, support email and in-app chats are free and unlimited on all plans. Email campaigns, SMS, WhatsApp and phone are pay-as-you-go at unlisted rates.

What does a small team pay?

Seats plus Fin for four setups, before tax. The Fin outcomes are assumptions; yours depend on how many conversations you get and how many Fin closes.

Past a few hundred conversations, Fin costs more than the seats. Yearly billing cuts Essential seats by a quarter, but Fin stays at $0.99 and grows with your users.

Is Intercom testing a cheaper Essential plan?

Yes. On October 17, 2026, Intercom’s pricing page ran an experiment named “essential price reduction”. Some visitors saw Essential at $29 a month, or $19 billed yearly. Other visitors and the help center article saw $39 and $29. If your quote is lower than ours, that is why.

Does Intercom have a startup discount?

Yes. The Early Stage program takes 93% off the first year, from $65 a month for six Advanced seats, six Copilot seats, 20 Lite seats, Proactive Support Plus and 300 Fin outcomes a month. The discount drops to 50% in year two and 25% in year three, with fewer free outcomes. Outcomes past the allowance, SMS, WhatsApp and phone are billed at list price. It is for new customers with fewer than 15 employees and up to $10M in funding.

Where does Feddy fit?

Feddy is narrower than Intercom. It does in-app support for iOS apps and websites, with one inbox and an AI that answers from your own answers, website and App Store page. It has no help center, workflow builder or Android SDK.

Feddy charges per workspace, not per seat. Pro is $19 a month with unlimited teammates and 500 AI replies, then $3 per 100. It counts each reply its AI, Milo, sends, not resolutions. On our own app Milo averaged 1.06 replies per conversation, so the three-person team above would stay within the 500. See Feddy vs Intercom for the full comparison and how to switch on iOS.
